Run with RG3!

With this year’s Baltimore Running Festival being a huge success this year, today we will focus on a group that will help you keep your feet moving well until the next marathon.

The Run, Gap, Gulp and Go Club, also known as RG3 (Not to be confused the Washington Redskins quarterback, Robert Griffin III, RG3) is a well established Baltimore running group that has been around since 2008.

Trail running through Gunpowder Falls or a light Baltimore run through Patterson Park, with over 800 members, your bound to find a member near you. This group holds weekly group runs around the Baltimore city and Maryland area landscape in search of great runs for the group. Joining a run with this group will allow you to take in the sights and sounds of nature around Baltimore and Maryland’s trails and parks.

The group’s name, Run, Gab, Gulp, and Go, can be best summed up by their mission statement on their webpage:

RG3 GabsA great way to take our minds off of those miles!

RG3 GulpsAfter our runs we have to hydrate, so whether the group goes for water, coffee or beer… We’re having fun!

RG3 Goes – On our way, refreshed and ready for the next workout! Everything’s optional but the running.

If you’re wondering when their next run is then grab your good running shoes because it will be this Sunday Morning, October 21, at 8:30 AM at the BWI Trail. They will be meeting in the parking lot of the Lindale Middle School and be running 10.5 miles along the trail.

If your up for more of a challenge, extend that run a little longer by meeting up with them earlier at 7 AM for a 6.5 mile pre-jog. That’s a 17 mile run! Click here to learn more and RSVP so you won’t be left behind.

Joining this club is free and encouraged. Check out their website to see what else they are up to.

Know of any great scenic or group runs? Comment below, join them and tell them or host an event. Their always down to talk and jog.
